I am a serial entrepreneur as they say, having worked for myself for most of the last 27 years. Working for myself just fits my energy levels better.

My natural bent is towards mathematics and science. I loved competing in mathematics in school and eventually was awarded a scholarship to MIT as a result of my work in proving that all circles or spheres C tangent either internally or externally to any two reference circles or spheres  A and B had centers lying on conic sections. Yes, I know, mind crogglingly boring for most folks, but that is what I liked. The fact that I did not take advantage of the scholarship throws my intellect into question, I admit.

Success in sales was something I achieved and had to work hard for. My failing was in not understanding human nature. Humans often insist on acting as though the universe is as they wish it to be rather than acting on the nature of the universe. Once I mastered that fact and internalized it at the bone deep level, I began to excel.  It was also on that day that I overcame procrastination. Perhaps the two are related. This decision to act on the universe as it is, rather than as I wish it to be is also why I have embraced variations of  Attraction Marketing.

As I say, I am a serial entrepreneur. I have been an independent insurance agent, an IT consultant, owned a computer repair business, owned a gaming bulletin board system, and built my own Internet Service Provider from scratch. In between there I helped several companies raise money for expansion for various projects for a percentage. If the government had known how much fun I was having running my Bulletin Board System they would have quickly moved in their capacity as killjoy of the universe and outlawed BBSing. I also owned a collection agency at the age of 18 that did quite well until it got out to my customers that I was not yet 21 years of age but that only lasted a year. I did well because I helped them find reasons and ways to pay their bills rather than threaten them like everyone else did.

My reasons for being involved in affiliate and network marketing are very simple. Brick and mortar businesses are a pain to start and you will constantly have Dilbert’s Boss’s cousin who works for the government all up your backside questioning your every move, making sure you divvy up your profits fairly with the government and the employees.  Warren Buffet, Robert Kiyosaki, and Donald Trump are all billionaires who have made it very clear that if they had it to go over again, they would engage in building a network marketing company. I listen to them because they know how to build billion dollar fortunes.
